Privacy Policy

Baboy PH ("Baboy PH", "we", "us", or "our") publishes guides, breed data, farming calculators, and an open agricultural data archive for Filipino pig farmers. This Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information when you use the site, in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, the Data Privacy Act of 2012 ("DPA"), its Implementing Rules and Regulations ("IRR"), and National Privacy Commission ("NPC") Circular No. 16-03.

The short version: Baboy PH is a static website. There is no account to create, no form that submits anything to us, no newsletter, and no tracking. We do not ask you for personal information and we have no database in which to keep it.

1. Personal Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

None. The site has no contact form, no sign-up, no comment section, and no download that asks for an email address. Nothing on any page transmits what you type to us.

1.2 Calculator and Planner Inputs

Every calculator, wizard, and planner on this site runs entirely in your browser. Herd sizes, feed costs, weights, sale prices and any other figure you enter are computed on your own device and are never sent to a server. We cannot see them, and they are gone when you close the tab.

1.3 Search

Site search runs in your browser against an index delivered with the page. Your search terms are matched locally. Because a search moves you to a page whose address contains your query, that address appears in the standard web-server logs described in section 1.4.

1.4 Information Collected Automatically

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served through Cloudflare's network. As with any website, delivering a page requires your device's IP address, and Cloudflare processes ordinary request data — IP address, user agent, requested address and time — to serve the page and to protect the site against attack and abuse. This is handled by Cloudflare under its own privacy terms. We do not receive a copy of these logs, do not build profiles from them, and have no way to connect a request to a named person.

1.5 Analytics

There is none. The site loads no analytics script, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tag of any kind. The only network host any page on this site contacts is baboyph.com itself.

2. Legal Basis for Processing

Because we do not collect personal information, the DPA's consent requirements are largely not engaged. The one processing that does occur — the request data Cloudflare handles in order to deliver a page to you — rests on legitimate interest under Section 12(f): a website cannot be served to a visitor without processing the request that asked for it, and cannot be kept online without defending it from attack.

3. How We Use Information

Request data is used to deliver pages and to keep the site available. That is the whole list. We do not use it for marketing, do not sell or rent it, do not use it to build audience segments, and do not use it to train anything.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We have one service provider:

• Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, and protection against attack and abuse.

There are no others. We use no email delivery provider, no analytics provider, no advertising network, and no customer relationship or mailing-list service. We hold no personal data that could be sold, and we would not sell it if we did.

We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, or legal process, including lawful requests from the NPC, Philippine courts, or law enforcement. In practice we hold almost nothing that could be responsive to such a request.

5. Cookies and Tracking

This site sets no cookies. It writes nothing to your browser's local or session storage. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. Verified against the live site on August 23, 2026.

6. Data Storage and Security

Baboy PH operates no database and no application server. The site is a set of static files published to Cloudflare's network and served over HTTPS, with HTTP requests redirected to HTTPS. There is no login, no session, and no user record — which removes most of the ways a website loses personal data in the first place.

7. Data Retention

We retain no personal data, so we have no retention schedule to publish. Cloudflare retains request and security logs for its own operational periods under its own policy; we do not control those periods and do not keep a copy.

8. Your Rights Under the DPA

The Data Privacy Act gives you the right to be informed, to object, to access, to correction, to erasure or blocking, to damages, and to data portability (Sections 16 and 18). These rights attach to personal data a controller actually holds. Baboy PH holds no personal data about you, so in the ordinary case there is no record to access, correct, port, or erase.

9. Data Breach Notification

Section 20(f) of the DPA and NPC Circular No. 16-03 require notification of the NPC within seventy-two (72) hours, and of affected data subjects, following a breach of sensitive personal information that is likely to give rise to a real risk of serious harm. We hold no such information, so no personal-data breach of this site is possible in the ordinary sense. Should that ever change, this page changes with it, and the obligation applies in full from that moment.

10. Children's Privacy

The site is written for adults running or planning a piggery. We collect no information from anyone, children included, and have no means of collecting it.

11. Links to Other Sites

Articles cite outside sources — government agencies, veterinary references, journals — and occasionally link to a marketplace such as Shopee or Lazada as a price reference for equipment. Those are plain links. They carry no affiliate or tracking identifier, and we are paid nothing when you follow one. Once you leave this site, the destination's own privacy policy, terms, and cookies apply, and we receive nothing back about your visit.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. If the site ever begins collecting personal information, that change and this page will ship together, and we will give prominent notice on the website before it takes effect.
